| When we
die, there are only two things that we will be able to take with us: the love
with which we have lived our lives, and the good that we have done.
Everything else, we will have to leave behind.
The more we believe this, the more our priorities change.
When we die, it would not be surprising if we
were to hear God say, "Thank you for all you did for me." He will
not express His gratitude for the possessions we will have amassed, or for the
power that we will have exercised over others, but He will thank us for becoming
like Him.
To hear His words of approbation will be a part
of our joy in the agelessness to come, a joy that will be made full when we
understand that be made full when we understand that God recognises us as one of
His own. |
