| You are
fortunate indeed if you have work that brings you satisfaction, work that energises you and gives you a sense of wholeness.
If this is not what you experience in your job, your
real work might be a volunteer activity that helps you to realise your creative
gifts.
In any case if you have a task on which you can
meaningfully focus your energies, you have a real cause for thankfulness.'
In addition to being thankful for our own work,
we can also be thankful for the work of others, for those who have built our
homes, for those who have constructed our roadways, for those whose daily labour
keeps our cities running, for those whose work nourished us when we were
children.
We have all relied heavily on the work of others,
and its benefits come down to us each day of our lives. |
