Sometimes we get stuck in attitudes that we need to leave behind.
If we are dissatisfied with our lives, it may be
that we are holding on to something that is no longer satisfying, something we
need to die to so that we can be reborn to something deeper and more mature.
This is one of the meanings of losing our lives
that we might find them. The process of letting go is a painful
experience, but it leads to maturity, to a new experience of something deeper in
life.
We have to ask what this process means for us at
this point in our lives. What is it that we need to grow out of, or grow
up to?
We are never too old to grow up, we are often
afraid to let go of relationships and things that no longer satisfy.
Sometimes a vague dissatisfaction in life urges
us to let go, and to go onward, but we either ignore the message or miss its
point. |
