Confucius said, "When you see a noble man, try to equal him. When you see
an evil man, examine yourself thoroughly."
Did he want to say that the possibilities of evil are within us, and that we are
sometimes unaware of them?
Do we even understand the value of those in our
lives who have enabled us to do good and avoid evil?
If we have not succumbed to the possibilities of
evil within us, we have the grace of God to thank, along with the favourable
circumstances of our own lives.
Yes, our free will entered in too. But how
much we owe to God and to those who have loved us for helping us to make the
good choices we have made. |
