It's an old but true bromide: employees who are proud of what they do make better workers. Here's
another easy way managers can help instill that feeling : make sure everyone has personalize business cards.
"A batch of cards costs us only $20," says Nancy Vetrone, President of Cleveland-based Original Copy Centers Inc.,
"and it's a hell of a simple way to recognize each person as important." Vetrone hand-delivers the cards to new employees within a week of their
joining the company -- a gesture that welcomes them to the permanent team.
The cards are also a cheap method of marketing, she says. "We've put 94 times more cards out in the world
through our 94 employees. You never know who your people know."
