An idea , skill or habit passed from
person to person. The term was coined in 1976 by Richard Dawkins, a British
biologist, in his book the Selfish Gene. Dawkins speculated that memes are to
cultural information what genes are to genetic information and might thus
play a crucial role in the evolution of the human brain and language. The
internet is seen by some as a new mechanism for the rapid dispersal of
