Any kind of malicious software,
distributed across networks, that is intended to cause damage to computers,
files or internet connections. Viruses, trojan horses and worms distributed via
e-mail may all be regarded as malware. Many malware programs exploit
security flaws in the windows operating system and its associated
programs to do their damage. The phenomenon has even spread to the latest
generation of "smart" mobile phones, some of which run a version of windows. |
