The European Laboratory for Particle

Nucleaire, hence the acronym) is famed as the origin of the world wide
web. An initiative to improve collaboration among workers in the physics
community, led by Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau, led directly to the
development of html, http, the first text only Browser
and the first web server. The rest is history. |
